I'll confess that I have read a decent amount of erotic transformation stories, and admittedly it struck me as unlikely that any story in this genre would warrant paying money.
This story is -absolutely- worth it. And the 14 illustrations done by Amber-Aria and Sabretoothed Ermine, two immensely talented artists, are just an added bonus!
The author has a very professional, very readable style that is a pleasure to run across in this genre. But Mr. Nibs' greatest strength is with his characters. He creates protagonists that are three dimensional, their personalities and flaws making this reader really feel for them. Then when not only the meddling of an outsider but their own fears and doubts stand in the way of a truly beautiful romance, it absolutely tugs at the art. Just when you think everything will turn out alright another big, hairy obstacle would rear its ugly head. It made for a hell of a roller coaster ride!
On the subject of romance, yes, there are plenty of steamy scenes; but they are tastefully done, and never gratuitous. Well, not too gratuitous ;) Similarly there is plenty of transformation, and it is well-described with clever imagination. But Jacqueline's Choice is so much more than an erotic transformation novella. It is fundamentally a story of love, consequences, overcoming adversity, and finding one's true self.
Go give it a read!
Nod Nibs crafts an enchanting story that will draw you in with its complex characters and rich, detailed scenes. 'Jacqueline's Choice' is a pleasure to read, and Nod Nibs a welcome member of the new vanguard of transformation fiction.
this is a really good book that I like and there should be a second book which will make the first book come around. when the second book comes out I would buy it right away that if there is a second book.
This book is a damn fine short erotic story, nice and graphic with the interior illustrations really adding to the book. But unfortunately like a lot of ebooks it fall short in the formatting and grammar categories, some of which are delightfully entertaining.
Recommended.
